I've seen some concept photos of the next gto, much better style, they are trying to make up for the hideous mistake of the 04-06 gto's. The engine is good in those cars, I just thought it was impossible to make an uglier car than the catfish, but they did it. But at least it sold well. ..I still don't believe you bought one.

Yes it [I]was[I]1.59 with stock suspension save for bill's old lower control arms and a set of oem replacement shocks.

Hopefully next year there will be new slicks/et streets involved, adjustable struts/shocks, control arms and drag race sway bar to get me deep into the 1.5's or even 1.4's. Don't forget more weight savings if I can find it.

Kris- we have a new procharger set up with intercooler that we purchased when we had our buy in. kit number 1GN202-sci, MSRP is $5446, dealer is $4547.I would love to get rid of it before we move. The Kris R special price is $2900. Install for you would be $1000. You would need injectors and a tune. The fuel system should work till about 450hp.

tried and true? When it came to the states they bashed the hell out of it as being old technology and not new at all just a repackaged version of a car tah twas all read y out dated in Aussie land. Bad handling , bad brakes, bad everything except the motor and drivetrain. The ysaid it was way behind in technolodgy and a lame attempt by GM to re enter the rwd market.. Thinking about this again, I have to say that perhaps I overreacted to Grenade's fine opinions of my new automobile. He has a right to say what he thinks (it is a GM on a 'Ford site', after all). They are, after all, his opinions, and nothing more. I have to admit I'm glad he feels highly enough of me to suggest that I might be 'above' buying a car that he thinks is ugly.

Now, I can't say I would have bashed a car that someone had just purchased, but maybe that's just not my character. Maybe that's the difference between us.

I didn't call you names like dickhead, I only was surprised that you bought that car. So to say ''grow up dickhead'' is called being a hypocrite. I hate to break it to ya, but most people in car clubs and car web sites judge people by the car they drive. So I guess everybody should go to the funny farm then. If you read my futher posts, you'll see, I said as long as your happy thats' fine, and my dumb opinion doesn't matter. I've said it before, and I'll say it again 04 gto, nice driveline, ugly body. I'm not alone in my opinion. No offence meant, And I still bow to your 1/4 mile vette shifting skills.
