Dunwoody!!! HA HA HA!! GO in the ASEP program, they put you in a dealership right away and you work there full time for 8 weeks and go to school for 8 weeks, the teachers were very good, and when you graduate you're ahead of most other programs, have a decent job, and an associate degree.. I was was in the BSEP program (the GM program for Auto-body) and I make pretty good money for someone my age. I'd probally shy away from the regular auto program there... Although Andy from twolane graduated there and is one of the only guys I'd trust to work on my cars.1993 Titanium Cobra (1 of never)

The ASEP program is there regular auto program.. I had there teacher for a semester and I learned a ton about diagnosing electrical problems.. Although I was in the body program we were side by side with the ASEP auto program.. I highly doubt you've hired anyone out of that program tho, they tend to stick to dealerships.. As for there normal auto program, I'm not sure on the quality of techs that come out of there.. I know they lost the teacher that Andy had, and Andy might have been one of the all stars there.Originally posted by 03marauder View Postim not talking autobody, the people that i have hired from there can barely do a oilchange, the people i have hired from dunwoody are twice the technicians1993 Titanium Cobra (1 of never)

I think most places teach very good courses.
but, that is dependent on the person who is going.
meaning i have worked with ALL kinds of people in the shop from veteran dealership guys to new guys right out of school.
most all of them were about as smart as a coconut. didn't know there ass from a hole in the ground.
myself, never went to school. learned alot from my dad and high school shop teacher and have always been real mechanically inclined. i make from 60-80k a year. have for the last 5yrs.
not many people want to work. they think they can go to a school get thru it and bam i am a genius.
if you are mechanically inclined that helps a ton. there are alot of book smart people but lack alot of common sense.
i would go where you feel you would benefit the best.
good luck.87' GRAND NATIONAL- LOTS OF MODS, BIG TURBO
