State patrol wasted my tax dollars and told my brother his exhaust is not flowing with the car, crackles, and needs to be replaced by December

WTF should a 5 liter sound like with no mufflers, headers, bolt ons etc? I mean, its no where near what every fuckin' z71 sounds like in the state of Minnestoa. Its VERY mellow.

Minn. Stat. § 169.69 (2004) provides in relevant part:

Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in good working order which blends the exhaust noise into the overall vehicle noise and is in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise, and no person shall use a muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device upon a motor vehicle on a street or highway. The exhaust system shall not emit or produce a sharp popping or crackling sound.

I've seen it happen. If they are rapping the pipes, they can get a ticket.

Unfortunately Harleys (and other motorcycles), fall upon a different EPA noise guidelines then the regular car. Hence the reason why bikes don't get tickited for loud pipes.

yeah, my truck has headers, to about 2 feet of pipe, blown out glasspacks and thats it... I'm not light on the gas either.. Never ever had a problem...
