    HWY 100

    WOOHOO!!!!

The new 'temporary' 3rd lane between Excelsior Blvd and Hwy 5 is now open in both directions. This is going to save me 15-20 minutes per day in my commute to and from work. Thanks Gov Pawlenty for moving this project up several years and getting it DONE!

Unless LRT had a train that went from Shoreview to EP, then I'll have to say no it did not solve anything for me. I will say that in the last 7 years, road expansion has made a big difference though. Now if they could just get 169 and crosstown fixed........

Shit man, if the LRT did that, we'd have a functional transit system.. yeah right

3 lanes of fresh black top:3gears: Would be a great place for some late night racing, if anybody here does that.

Agreed, I got lasered there about 3 months ago and got a ticket! They sit next to the bridges on the 36th Ave and Hwy 81 in both directions, and they are also now sitting in the left shoulder with the laser gun out. The State Patrol HQ's is off Duluth St. They don't patrol the rush hour side, but during the day and the non-rush hour side be VERY careful.

there's one too many places for them to hide on 100, they'll sit up between the barriers so you cant see them until you're passed the barriers, totally fuck up your day.

Yesterday rocked on the drive home, I take 100 both ways and I blew through the old bottlenck at like 60 mph at 4:00. That was unheard of before.

He didn't scrap anything in regards to Hwy 62, he pushed the expansion plans ahead by many years in fact. His plan to have the contractors pay for the expansion before the federal funds were released wasn't the brightest idea though. However, the matching federal funds that have been expected were delayed by congress for nearly two years so its not all his fault. We also received 70 billion less than original projections.
