I had some (3) checks stolen from me by one of my employees, he forged my signature and the bank cashed them, I was wondering if anyone knows if the bank will be responsible for that or if I'm screwed, I'd assume that I'm screwed.
I would think the bank would take care of it for you, hopefully you dont get stuck with the bill. Good luck Chris!

Take a stroll out of your house sometime to say the local mall. You will see plenty of teenage corn fed mancows devouring cinnabons like it's their last meal.
I'm gonna agree that as of this point you are screwed. You can trace he checks back to where they were done and have teh camera footage looked at to see who did it so you can prosecute them, but it will be a long process.
Do you have any proof that he stole those checks? If so, take that to the bank along with the check numbers and explain what happend to them. Then go to the police and put that sum bitch in jail.

You ever make 150k per year? LOL, j/k we all know you're way too dumb to achieve this.

I looked up his record @ www.mncriminals.com and HOLY SHIT this is the guy, he has 4 prior check forgery convictions and a few drug related. Well I guess I should start doing some background checks.

Der. Good luck with it tho, fraud is a son of a bitch. I wonder if they could even get a good fingerprint off of the checks.

I do beleive if they have the canceled check and the signatures dont match what the bank has on file you can sign a sworn affidavid (spelling) that you didnt write the checks. And you can be reimmburrsed. That is why banks have insurence. This happined to me around christmas a few years back and I was not held responsible. I think I had to pay $10 per check to have them stopped. But was well worth it!
It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word. Andrew Jackson

I work for TCF Bank if you did not write the checks you should get a police report and fill out fraud and forgery paperwork. It could take up to 2 weeks for anything to happen, but you bank might be able to temp credit your account for your loss. depending on what bank you are with.
Did he just take random checks from your check book or what? I had that happen before but I noticed and cancelled the checks before they were used. I never did find out who it was.
You'll be alright, it will get taken care of and you will get your money back.
sucks chris.... i'd file a police report, say you have a suspect or know its somone from your work, talk to the bank, police will guide you in the direction to go after that(i would hope).
Well it turns out that this idiots girlfriend got pulled over Friday evening with 2blank checks from my Dad's checkbook (they were in the same cabinet) and some meth, her and another guy are being held on drug charges. I filled out the affidavit of forgery and they are going to serve a search warrant on the other dipshit for drugs and forgery. It also looks like I will get my money back from the bank (eventually). Things are looking pretty good.
