good move. Sports in HD > *. When we got our TV I was completely unaware... then it had a built-in HD tuner. And apparently you get HD with the basic (10$) cable package==HD sports FTW!Comment

my roomate bought a 50" sony hdtv, 1080pi about a month ago.
the thing is rediculous, and with the HD channels we get...
football never looked better

Now I have to wait until the 10th to get my new dish and receiver installed cause of high demand. The TV has a built in digital tuner, so do I need anything else to get over the air HD programming? I am less than a mile from the huge TV towers in Shoreview that beam the signal.Comment

And BC you will love it. The DIRECTTV HD ESPN is awesome. Buy a HD ANTENNA and get your locals too. The ANTENNA can be mounted in your basement or furnace room, dont even have to be outside! And that tuner your getting will work for both!!!!

Yes, HD is the shit, my old CRT HD was crazy about 5 years ago. Im sure the plasma will be nice, but nothing beats a good old CRT
