Recently, much debate has arisen over recent allegations of torture in secret NSA prisons where most wanted terrorists have apparently been delegated. So I pose a question to you.
Say you are an official with the responsibility of deciding what to do with these people. If there was reason enough to warrant the idea that one of these people holds knowledge of an impending terrorist attack which may kill hundreds, maybe thousands, would you subject this person to torture in order to gain knowledge which would undoubtedly prevent such an attack? If not, what would you do? Please also state why.
