Battlefield 2142 Beta

So I got the beta for this game from Fileplanet. Hey, it only takes 5-7 minutes to load a single map on my 2.4Ghz (hyper-threading) system with a Geforce 6800 OC (256mb), 3GB of system memory and a SATA hard drive.

This reminds me of PlayStation 2 vs PlayStation (1). The CPU was faster, the memory was greater.. But because the games were so god damn big, the load times were exactly the same, if not longer!

TF2 was originally supposed to be what BF2 is today. They got wise and decided to rewrite the whole thing and not just make another War based game. TF2 is going to be a fucing blast! Finally after 6 years it'll be released.
