Well, it needs to happen. Just hope that they can focus on better R&D while they are at it.

Fucking gas prices. Think of all the employee's who are now laid off and all of the suppliers who are going to have to scale back. All because some fucking dickwad in the middle east wants more for a barrel of oil

This will most likely have a significant effect on gas prices. Some analysts are predicting a $10-20 drop on a barrel of oil by winter. This is of course assuming no other major world events take place to change what is happening.Originally posted by 2 beerFucking gas prices. No, this is how to stop the fall towards the company failing. You can't keep producing more than what the market needs and you can't always keep the ability to do so when it cost an astronomical amount just to keep the plant up and running. Ford and GM need to run like much smaller companies if they are going to pull out of this downward spiral. Less production will also mean that they can do a better job of quality control if they are smart enough to keep those people on the linesOriginally posted by YouNeverSawMeHere"The beginning of the end of Ford"
.
And if there was one, the beguining of the end for Ford and GM was back in the 70's.

Huh So now where are all the "GM" is going under and "ford" is doing great talkers now? WTF do they expect when 85% of the ford lineup are gas guzzling suv's and trucks.

Gas prices? Blame the fricken unions for demanding pensions that nobody including GM and Ford can afford. Pensions are GM's largest expense right now. One of the many reasons imports are doing so much better.Originally posted by 2 beerFucking gas prices.
