    Cable Rates... Up?

Lol.. are they for real?? Everyone is jumpin' ship as it is and they go and raise the rates??

Does anyone outside of living in an appartment still carry cable? I'm leaving too... just don't know what system to get yet.

After paying $79 a month for the premium package for 6 months I quit cable. Now I have satellite. $30 a month with HBO Those cable companies are going to overcharge themselves out of business.

        Exactly!

I guess, as I know it, options are:
        Satellite
        Direct TV
        Dish network ?

I should get satellite and hi-speed internet, i'm connected at a whopping 26.4k now. My roommate has Dish Network on his ice house for cryin' out loud, it's like the Flintstones over here.

Which reminds me, "childrens" cartoons are sooo shitty nowadays. like Ren & Stimpy.... only complete shit. The quality is just... well they're different and I'll be damned if shildren are gonna grow up watching that shit!... Bahh fuck it, what do I care.

Yeah my buddy's shack is like no other: gas fireplace, satellite, separate bathroom, mini-blinds, crank out windows, vacuum cleaner, ceiling fan, kitchen with sink and faucet and he built a deck for it this summer.

Oh you damn right! It's good chit! The one where Barney builds his own race car and Fred drives it under the name "Goggles Pizano" I got one full tape of the Flintstones from when I had Cartoon Network and when they actually had good cartoons. Wish I would of taped a bunch of Buggs tho...

The cartoons today are way too different. However, I do like, and have a full tape of Ren & Stimpy. Space Ghost Coast to Coast was so stupid it was funny too, but that's not really a "childrens" cartoon. You have to be in 'the right frame of mind' when watching it to enjoy it.

Only others I like are the evening Fox duo of The Simpsons & Kink Of The Hill. SouthPark is good, but way ghey when they bust into frigg'n musicals...wtf?!

The cable companies are choking themselves.

Its a double edged economic sword....same as the telephone company.

People start using dish networks....cable companies complain and raise their rates....more people jump ship....they complain some more and have to raise their rates even more....etc.

Same with phone companies. Except cell phones are the dish networks.
