I got my collie mix, Dustball, from an adoption day that St. Francis of Assisi was holding at one of the local Petsmarts.

When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.

That's a nice place. I was workin' down the road a ways from there, and I'd stop in there once a week on the way home, just to see what was in there.

I'm glad to see people interested in givin' dogs a 2nd chance. Kudos to youz all!

How does the adoption or fostering work?

Homeward bound holds adoptions at the petco's on saturdays, visit there site for locations and times. Every weekend is a different petco and they rotate. The adoption fees vary so you would have to goto an adoption and look for an animal you like.

For fostering the organization seeks volunteers to foster animals. Basically you bring the pet home with you and take care of it and saturday morning bring it to the adoption location. At the end of the day if the animal hasnt been adopted you go pick it back up and take care of it for another week. We do it to help out and it helps to socialize my own dog.

Good thread. We were down to 1 Tomcat and think I've got the better half talked into another female kitty. The last female last 19 years with us.

We got a puppy a while back and he's 16 weeks old, 44 lbs. He's doing well in obedience school and loves to go to Petco.

Awesome, I checked out a couple today and its hard to walk into them seeing them dogs.. Some give you that face that just says take me home. I am still on my journey but I think I may have found one. I'll see though. Anyone know of a puppy or puppies who need a home. I am always open for puppies. Between my family that consists of 2 uncles and there wives and my 2 aunts and there husbands. We got 17 dogs. lol, So yea we definately have room. They all get to stay in warmed houses and eat as well as the humans do.

Fuck the people who make there dogs sleep in the rain and in the SNOW! ASSHOLES!
