Hey z28 man....I have a good idea for you...BUY A COBRA!!!...I think it bothers you alittle more then you like to admit..Thats why you were on the phone with j.r. and tom shae....actually j.r. even called Mark to see whats up! Fact still stands...I beat you with a STOCK COBRA, like I said I would....offered to prove to you it was stock...you declined...END OF STORY!!! You chevy is not unbeatable with a stock Cobra like you think it is. Thats it!! Actually I have another one if you would like to see it happen again. I have no hard feelings, I just dont get why you cant except the fact it happened...I know you feel your car runs the same everytime, but hey....you barely beat me out of the hole on DR ...Not to impressive. Is your car fast? Hell YA it is! Fast enough...NOPE! Not to beat a stock cobra! If Daves little v-6 is so fast...Ill bring my little v-6 and we can have alittle show down! You tell Dave to bring that t/a down on radials and 92 octane...and ill do the same thing to him I did to you!

Actually Sloss, you should have directed this thread at me, not Z28SSMAN. I'm the one that doesn't believe the car is stock, and many other people on other forums don't either.

He doesn't think his car is unbeatable, and he's got a much better attitude than you do.

This thread was pretty unnecessary and could have stayed to PMs, but I guess I would expect it from you.

As far as buy a Cobra...no thanks & I'll leave it at that. But...since you threw the first jab...all I can say is that if I had a 32 Valve SC car with the supposed best that Ford has to offer, I'd be a little embarrased that I could only edge out a little NA 2 valve pushrod antique-motored Chevy by slightly over a car length.

You're right, I was very conservative with my launch. I just felt that based on OTHER runs against STOCK '03's that had been successful, it would be enough. I should have known that I was running against guys that are notorious about modding their cars...my mistake (not an excuse)

As far as being sore about what happened. Hey I'm OK. The thing that you and anybody else can't take away from me is that I've won more races than you've probably ever raced. As far as that goes, probably lost more than you've raced, so ONE race is NOT going to take anything away from what I've accomplished. I see more things about a race than just the win or loss. It is evident that you see things differently than me.

There are too many conflicting things that you have said from the beginning to allow me to believe anything you've said. People that know me will tell you that I am well respected in everything I do. You see, you can't BUY respect, you have to EARN it. In a race, there'll always be a winner & loser. How you handle winning & losing in a race or life in general will let people judge how big of a real man you are.

You sure you really don't want to buy an LS1????? Pretty dang good running engines aren't they!

I don't see him making excuses.... In fact quite the contrary... He makes no effort what-so-ever to excuse the loss. He readily admits the truth about which car won the race.... Which begs the question... Why does it bother you so much???? Must he believe you?

How many times do I have to say this...I LOST. You asked me to a race, I accepted regardless of what you told me the car had for mods, (you know--the ones that were there and then weren't) We shook hands and agreed not to post it on here. Of course, Mark decided to post it and I defended my view of what happened. I don't see what I have done wrong.

I LIKE you guys. I can see a lot of myself in you when I was younger. How can I NOT like that??? We just disagree. Hell I disagree with my wife. I think it's healthy to disagree.

As far as J.R., he'll admit that he's a jerk. He and I don't agree on many things. He doesn't like you, but he DOES respect you. I've ridden in his car and I can tell you that his car would "crush" mine from a roll. His car is what I call "excess". Kinda like your S-351.

Why don't we all just drop it. You guys were better than me the other nite.
