A guy I know from a Malibu board just posted some pics of the Bloomfield Hills PD's new squad cars. Looks like they have some money to burn.

Thats cool, but totally unnesessary. I'd be pissed if my taxes paid for that and the crappy gas mileage it gets.... That we pay for.

Seriously I think Cops should have cavaliers,.. why not, they dont need to chase anyone (in town), no one can outrun a radio, I think highway patrol should keep the Crown Vics. Why not?

They probably get 23-28 mpg with the vettes unless lead footing it. Crown Vic with Police equipment weights 1200-1400 lbs more and has a lot less hp.
Probably gets around 16 mpg.

Maybe the vettes are pursuit vehicles to bring in more revenue.

they prob plan on crashin em in an attempt keep up with people running from the popo.... Damn we crashed the C6 well we got 2 more call em in to chase this guy with expired tabs..... i dont think he had his seat belt on either...

I have a couple friends who are from West Bloomfield, which is right next door. Definitely a sweet place with lots of country clubs and sweet cars.
