    Gas $2.85 a gallon?

How does the price of gas go up so much in one day? My local store had it at $2.63 yesterday morning. Today it's 2.79 and yesterday it was as high as $2.85.

    This sucks.

I understand that. Just wondering how they justify the price. Exxon alone made 38 Billion dollars in profit last year. Their retired CEO got a 440 Million dollar compensation package FOR RETIRING.

You are gonna sit here and tell me that they need to raise gas prices on a frickin' weekly basis? Do you get raises at your work on a weekly basis.

People need to realize how everyone's cost of living is rising faster than wages.

they have to raise the prices because the price of oil goes up. Oil goes up because demand is exceeding supply.

Yeah, and next you're going to tell us that industrializing nations such as India and China are increasing the world demand for oil.

I still say we go over to those Opec Nations and just take the oil.

Nuke India and China while we're at it.

I'm putting on my flame suit now.

I got interviewed by WCCO yesterday about this.

It's a load of bull that the oil companies spew out.

                    Demand?

                    Fuck that excuse.

Last time gas prices were this high it was because of 2 reasons.

                    Hurricane's affecting oil supply
Getting cold so people were buying fuel oil.

Well there haven't been any hurricanes lately, and it was a mild winter and it is now a warm summer......Demand? Yeah, right

gas always goes up when the weather gets warm. More people driving = more demand.

I think everyone is missing the point. What Dave is saying is that Exxon made 38billion in PROFIT last year. thats not total revenue. So demand is high my ass. Yea demand might be high but you know what I think they could afford to drop their prices a little bit and not bring in as much profit. Maybe I am the clueless fucktard though.
