This is part of an email that was sent out companywide last night. What the HELL. I think I wanna get transfered to Mercy. For those of you that don't know what I am talking about, a stoned crackhead was threatening me while I was sitting at a stop light. I kinda thought it was funny but not so much anymore.
I am writing to provide you with important information about an incident that occurred earlier today near Allina Commons.
At approximately 3 p.m., an Allina employee was shot and injured while waiting at a bus top on the north side of E. Lake Street between Elliot and 10th Avenues. The employee’s injury was not life-threatening, and he was treated at a local hospital and released.
According to the Minneapolis Police, an armed individual ran out of a nearby building on E. Lake Street and began shooting at an unidentified target. Police are continuing to search for the suspect, who remains at large. To our knowledge, no other people were injured.
While we are thankful the employee’s injury was minor, this isolated incident clearly concerns us. Allina and Abbott Northwestern Hospital are committed to the neighborhood and will continue to work with local police to ensure the safety and security of all employees.
