1. Former President Bill Clinton can never again sit as President and neither will his wife.
2. Valerie Plame was NOT an "operative" in the field at the time, her status was widely known in D.C. circles and the news of her position hurt nobody.
3. Her husband made a fool of himself
4. If you want to compare actions by a President that hurt people, look at a topic that really matters: deciding not to kill Osama Bin Laden when he was handed to you SEVERAL times deciding to decline the offer cost THOUSANDS of lives of innocents in the USA.
5. President Clinton's mistake, for which he was punished, was not the BJ, it was LYING to the grand jury UNDER OATH and interfering with due process. He was stripped of his license to practice law and he hurt the office of the President.

I think corporate America is more to blame than the politicians in this country. And holding their hand is credit card companies. The outrageous cost of living is hard on people. This leaves people not wanting to support very many things because they simply can’t afford it. Before endless lines of credit, companies could raise prices until sales decreased and prices reflected what people could afford. After credit cards, companies raise prices and people just go buy a 50” plasma on credit, even though they really can’t afford it. Look at new car prices, they give people zero percent and the prices skyrocketed in the last several years. Houses have done the same thing. Not even ten years ago you had to have a down payment, which showed your income could support the payment. Now they have no money down interest only loans that are goona fuck a lot of people over. I heard somewhere the savings rate used to be 15% and is now less then 1%.

Point is I believe it is hard to support wars, social programs or anything else when so many people are facing hard financial times at home.

I know some people will say they are debt free and that is great, but most of Middle America is in this boat and it is not good.
