Yeah, but it is in their constitution to kill people who convert. We never had "Kill blacks and make them ride on the back of the bus" or anything like that in our constitution.

We tried to set up their country based on a constitution like ours, and you know how damn hard it is to change the constitution....I doubt things will be changing anytime in the near future.

Suggesting we kill them all is no different than their stance. If they are Muslim, in your example, we kill them because we believe differently. Same outcome, different vantage point.

Instead, we need to put incredible pressure to bear, emphasizing a humanitarian point of view, to get these people to stop with the human rights violation of taking one person's life because they chose to think differently than the others do. WE should threaten to cut off aid. We should get this story more in the media for worldwide consumption. The Afghans do not have a representative republic as do we. They base their government on Religion - a specific following. If you come to their country as a Christian, it's ok. IF you try to convert, it is not ok. Situational ethics. Sad.

Tyson, I don't necessarily think that it's all religion that is the complete driving force behind their hatred. I for one still believe that there is true evil in this world. I believe severe evil is driving these people and, you're right, evil itself can not be reasoned with. We need to destroy evil especially if it's trying to destroy us.

Here's the problem as I somewhat hinted at in the original post.

All religions have extreemists....You have the few wackos who for some reason have religion as their addiction instead of alcohol/drugs or prostitutes.

Christians have Rush Limbaugh or on the very far end the godhatesfags.com people.

Buddists have the people who go to temple way too much, and refuse to harm any creature.

Muslims seem to damn near have a 50/50 ratio (I know it's probably not that high, but it is much much much higher than average) of extremests.

There are so many muslim extremists that it is not even funny. There's tens of thousands in Iraq who are willing to kill and die just because they don't like who we worship. There's tens of thousands in Iran, there's tens of thousands of in Afghanistan.

There's some here statewide, like that kid who ran his van into a crowd in the name of allah.

It's just absolutely unreal how many of them there are, and their complete and utter disrespect and hatred for anyone who believes in anything other than the Koran.
