  • It Was C-O-L-D Up at B.I.R. Tonight!!!

Man - we made the 2 hour trip up there and right when we get into Brainerd.............it starts raining.

It cleared up a little while after we teched in, so it didn't really ruin the night. But the starting line was pretty slippery.

There were some pretty cool cars up there - two of my Syclone buddies made it up and I saw Shaun's Supra run too. Damn that is a clean car. :eek3:

I got to meet 01zincguy and he's very cool.

I'm glad we made the trip up even though I froze my @$$ off and the track conditions were pretty crappy.

Anyone know if that was the last Wed. night street race up there?

My best of the night was a whooping 16.2 w/ a tire melting 2.4 60' Ahhh the joys of having a pile of garbage engine. Hehe. Oh well, that was kinda the point of me going up there. I wanted to see what my car did stock before I sold it And yes it was INSANLY cold out.

Typhoon- cool dude, and your dad can drive the SHIToutta that car!!!

It certainly was cold. Car was running descent but I just couldn't hook up. Even after the 60' it was still spinning all over the place in 2nd even if I'd let off. Best I could muster up was a 12.8 at 117 think. There were a lot of fast cars there, they just weren't runnin fast.

Yep he's a very good driver.

I think it's kind of funny that when I posted a thread asking if S-351 wanted to race my dad just for fun, there were a few guys on here that laughed at me and said he had no chance. I also remember a few guys saying they would put money on Shaun in a race vs S-351.

What's even funnier is the fact that my dad missed 4th gear on one of his runs and still ran a 12.78. Hmm - that's still faster than Shauns best run of the night with a 12.8. Yeah Shaun had traction problems, but so did my dad.

No disrespect to your car Shaun - it's very nice and very fast. I was just kind of irritated when a few people on this site thought it was a joke that my dad wanted to see if S-351 wanted to race in a 1/4 mile. That was pretty sh*tty in my opinion. The bottom line is that my dad has been drag racing for over 30 years, and he's pretty good at it. He has beaten a lot of cars that have more power at the track, it's happened on a few occasions.

So maybe next time I make a post asking if someone wants to race my dad for fun, we won't be seeing so many doubtful posts? You see, I have to talk through my dad on this site because he won't post here. He doesn't have a lot of respect for some of the members here - you know, the morons who opened their mouths without knowing what the hell they were talking about? The ones that assumed they knew what the car ran just by hearing what the mods were?

He very well could get some low 12s out of this car, and that's as quick as and even quicker than a few of the loudmouths here that laughed at his car. And he doesn't even have headers. He's thinking about throwing a power adder on his car to "equal the playing field". I think the playing field is already equal, he just needs some suspension work and he could run right with or even beat some of these "400 to 450 rwhp dyno monsters" with blowers and juice and all that sh*t.

Anyway, sorry to rant. This has been irritating me for a while and I needed to vent a little bit. Sorry I didn't get to meet you Shaun, I'm sure you are a cool guy and you have a very nice car. 01zincguy, again, nice to meet you. Maybe we can meet up this weekend or something

i don't see what your problem is... as far as i've heard that saleen is in the 11s, and noone can get that out of a stock (or minor bolton) ls1 fbod.
hey i got an idea, lets start some "my dad is better than your dad" posts.
if he's so great he can speak for himself and if he thinks everyone is dumbasses here then that is fine and he can pick on other people that are less "dumbassy"

                    sorry for being an ass.

Scroll down to Quickest Stock Internal (All-Motor) and then try to tell me what an LS1 can't do with a great driver, good air, gearing, traction, and maybe some suspension work.

Also, I'm wondering, is S-351 always in the 11s?

Just like Shaun's Supra always runs 12.1's right?

                      Hey I got an idea

Let's learn how to read someone's post thoroughly. Then when we are done doing that, let's try to comprehend what we are reading.

He won't post here because he doesn't respect a few guys that basically laughed at him like he had no chance against the S-351. (I think I mentioned that.) So he has to talk through me. I post here because I like most of the people here and most of you guys are in the Cities.

I'm not sitting here saying, "My dad can beat up your dad". If he won't post here, but he wants to race someone, what's wrong with me asking if someone wants to race?

                      sorry for being an ass.
Don't worry about it. I'm sure it's just something you can't help.

                          Hey it's all good man.

It's definitely not about the site. I think this place is great! I think most of you are cool as hell too! (Keyword "most" )

Very Good Point! The street is a hard surface to master as everywhere and generally every night is a bit different.

What did you dad run last night? I heard from Shaun and another guy who was out there the track was real tough to run on.
