XM problems?

XM sucks. Their programming isn't that great, and they charge too much for radio. Let them fail.

I have Xm and quite frankly I think the programming is getting worse with the more people the sign up. It's like paying for the same shit you hear on the regular radio. I got Xm because I hate the selection that they shove down your throte on regular radio now Xm is just emulating them. Same screetching R&B vocals same 10 bands on the rock stations. top 40's crap seeping into the dance stations. Then the one electronic station is letting crappy Dj's take over for days at a time playing eithe a few hours worth of total crap or some 'ok' stuff. gotta be hundreds of thousands of songs and the pick too much shlonk. I have been thinking of canceling, sirus has nothing for me because Sterns personality anoys me. I'm not prudish I just can't stand listening to him, Although I'd listen to him over Al Fraken .

I almost think Stern on Sirius has somewhat hurt it because its all people talk about. There is soooooo much more that they offer besides Stern, its amazing. They sell adapters for around $100 that will convert your XM unit over to Sirius now too.

I have heard from several people that Sirus has basically all the same stuff Xm does with different names for the stations. Maybe a bit more talk stations.

Well working at circuit city i get my good share of messing with the xm ans sirius junk, and ive been hearing xm slowly go down hill... and i have never liked sirius

I'm going to replace my stock radio in my truck which is an XM radio with just an aftermarket. No more satellite radio cause it has been going downhill. I just need one that has an iPod hookup and I will be all set.

exactly what i would do, just get an alpine deck or something similar that you can hook your ipod strait into

One thing, XM products, (made mostly by delphi) are leaps and bounds above any sirius tuner. We have many sirius tuners fail.
Programing, i like sirius better.
*meh* havent listened to much of either lately.

I heard through the rumor mill that there has been talk of both combining.... But its just that... rumor.....
