    Investment articles in todays StarTribune

For those that put some away, three articles worth a quick read.

    In Sunday's Business section.

Your U.S. Fund May Be Scurrying Abroad Page D5.

Ratios Help Gauge Saving Page D6.

How to Navigate the Fixed-Income Shoals Page D7.

I went 50% overseas beginning of last year. 40% domestic, and 10% bonds.
I should probably be higher in bonds, but figure it's offset by dividend paying domestic utilities(automatic dividend reinvestment is no-commission).

If your not saving anything, 401k's are a great place to start if offered by your company. All of the above is just my opinion.

Yeah, I'm not putting enough way right now. I'm putting money in my "Oh shit" fund that was depleated for other reasons.

New house, new job. That's a lot of expense buying a house. Plus you need to get through tax season if I remember right.

Yup. I can pull it all off but I hate to lose all my savings. After the taxes though it should be smooth sailing.

On top of that my roommate is moving out right now, he and some old lady are lifting stuff and I'm not helping because she still hasn't told me she's moving out. Not that I really care but I could have really used the extra $450 from her right about now.
