Just to sum up what's going on with the club and auto-x next year...
-We plan on joining the Met Council (www.met-council.org) so we can be a member club meaning we will have say at events and be part of the organization.
-Met costs money to join every year and they require a roster of drivers from each club. So to raise money for entry into the Council, to get on the roster and be on the "TCStangs autox team" there will be a charge of $20.
-For your $20 you'll get a "TCS Racing" windsheild banner (optional of course, can just give you regular decals instead), your name on the main page under the auto-x team (hopefully with pictures of your car), and your name will be a diferent color on the forum with a cone icon saying your on the team.
This 'team' is being assembled so we can be more organized at the local autox events, and it will get our name out there with several other of the bigger clubs in the area.
One catch of being in the Met is TCS is required to host one event for all the other clubs to participate in, so we will be having some sort of event later next summer. Possibly a second BBQ/meet.
Info on how to actually get on this race team will be posted up in the next few weeks. Steve (92MNStanger) is going to be taking the money and will probably be our primary rep with the council.
That is all.
