Tremec is in, OMG is it FUN!!!

I bit the bullet and put in the 3550 I bought last night. Switched to a PRO 50 shifter this time and a spec 3 clutch and billet flywheel.

I can now shift it the way I want (right foot in the carpet all the time). I must say I like the PRO50 alot. It is uber short but nice. The tranny shifts well but reverse is a bitch until it is warmed up.

Thought I would share. I got it in just in time last night for some fun in the rain before storage.

Yep I found with my tremec that it likes to go into reverse very easily if I go 4th gear and then reverse. I believe it resets the synchros, or stops them so that you do not grind when going into reverse.

but gratz man! i dont have any problem going into Reverse....but you have to "negotiate" it into 3rd or 2nd from 4th or 3rd...but ive been told thats a common 3550 problem

Was expecting the clutch to be more harsh, but I think it is on it's last leg. I got it from a friend used and It was smelling pretty fastmarkish last night after my beat session. Oh well. The price was right.

took some getting used to to find gears but after getting used to it I find it shifts like a toggle switch

Just more of a reach to get to that little shifter handle. No more seat back detroit lean for me....
