Hate on "Rice"?

Ive been reading in alot of threads and starting to get really pissed about the whole thing..,..
People not giving any credit on Imports. They talk trash and dont get the point on the sport. Its all in fun and people take it way to far and I dont understand why people hate 4 cyl. that are fast enough to keep up with the best of them and only get disrespect. What I want to know is who disrespects Imports and the big question is WHY!?

ummm...i think if you ask Nate, or Dustin, or LJ, i think they'd say the get plenty of respect from the Domestic guys with there Civics. Also, People repect Chers DSM. i respect many imports.

but then again, i call many imports rice...CAUSE MOST ARE RICE! there are not that many imports around here that are that fast, and the ones that are, are respected, and well known in the community.

You shouldnt take every thing posted here serious....most people are given other people...people that they know....shit. Hang out at porkies when Nate or some one with a fast import, and you'll see he and his car are respected.

I read the post I wasnt sure what your response was about...... I understand you and several people respect nate but Im not only talking about his car nor you. There are many people out here the despise Imports and I want to understand why. This is also personalization,so if its not fast its rice? its made fun of because they have kits, spoilers and no motor mods. The reason I have a civic is because there cheap to mod and make fast compared to the muscle cars. But im not looking for my thoughts im looking for the reason some of you disrespect them

It's just rice, as in, rice is not my cup of tea. Whereas a ricer would say, Mulletmobiles are not my cup of tea.

now all those numbers might not be right but dollar for dollar your gonna be at a disadvantage the whole time until you throw on a turbo or something. otherwise you will always be playing catch up.

ok in my case....95 civic coupe with ls motor and t3/t4 super 60 $1500, If you find a decent 5.0 for that tell me. but still overall you can find a cheap import and motors are cheap because there a dime a dozen and swaping it out, theres some many cross overs as in my car. A LS motor made my car run 15.1-1/4 just from a swap.. What does a stock 5.0 run, curious now thats its mentioned?
