Well, for starters I went into work against my will to find out that a problem with the ENTIRE order for Cummins Diesel Sleeves was messed up beyond belief. A problem I tried to prevent from happening but in exact words "YOu have only been here 5 months, we know better". But to make matters worse the company announced that next Friday they would be laying off 30 more people (40 last time). So, I was under the assumption that this whole week would be tense and harsh with all that is going on in my life, but nope. They put the list up early and ended my missery. Me and 3 friends are on the list. On guy has a baby due in Feb, another just bought a house, and I want to go to school. This is all due to Economic Conditions. I do mean to bitch if anyone is wondering. I just fell so bad cause I did my job as best I could and worked when I was supposed to. Never came in late and never missed a day and then I get fired. It just....isnt fair.
You wanna know my weekend?

Very good point. Getting fired and getting laid off are two way different things, especially when you goto look for a new job.
As for the unemployment thing. It does not help everyone out cause it maxxes out very easily. I think it maxxes out at paying $10.50 an hour. I was unemployed for 5.5 months back in 2002 - 2003 time frame and it hurt big time as we had just bought a new house and everything. We just cut way back on everything and luckily made it through.
I feel for ya man, but keep your chin up as there are plenty of places to work out there.
