I was just watching tv and eating my ice cream when a commercial for what turned out to be GM Stabilitrak or some shit. I dont know if any of you have seen it but it has these kids talking. One of them is saying he was afraid they were gonna roll over and then they didnt, then they're saying there should be something to keep you in control when things arent in your control. It pissed me off. so much that i had to creat this thread to rage for a minute. What the f*ck is peoples problem, when something "isnt in your control" like weather slow the hell down dont depend on your vehicles computer system to keep you on the road so you can drive like a jackass down the highway in the poring rain. And now with all these kids growing up with it they will be depending on it! People need to learn to drive without these systems. I have NO ABS, NO traction control, NO stability management. If the conditions are poor i slow down, sure it will take me a little longer to get there but i'll be alive. Rant over!

Do you not know that society as a whole has adopted the "I can't take responsibility for my own actions" mentality? Ohh, didn't get the memo? That's O.K., it's not your fault. I'll re-send it to you.Dear Government, eventually the people with money will tell you to fuck off, and stop paying for those that don't work

You'd think that we were all VERY FORTUNATE not to have been killed driving in all kinds of weather and in all kinds of cars that DO NOT have stabilitrac Thank the Lord that this technology came when it did. Doesn't this make all other cars now obsolete and worthless? I mean, how can one drive an '03 cobra? It could flip...or slide off a mountain in the rain...or just EXPLODE. Will Stabilitrac prevent explosions too?
They call it Fear Uncertainty and Doubt (F.U.D.). Lions and tigers and bears...oh my!

Yes....oh my....
I've been trying to completely disable the traction control in my car, but the only way for me to do it completely is to eliminate ABS....which doesn't seem like such a bad idea sometimes."A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station... you figure it out ..."
