dirt biken' in mn?

does anyone know what the laws for riding dirt bikes in mn are? i think i remember them banning it or something? im just curious because i think im going to buy one over winter.

if its public land,you need to make sure they allow off road riding.
pritave land,your good to go.

I used to ride on my friends private property all the time in Elko...I know that if you get caught on the street in the middle of the night with a flashlight in your shirt underage and drunk the cops dont like it too much. but other than that I dont really know.
