I'm not looking for anything by you guys reading, I just needed to "vent" so to speak, its hard to talk about, Easier to write about and hurts a helluva lot to think about.
On Tuesday morning my Fiance and i went in to childrens for a stress test. (for those of you who dont know, my fiance was 7 1/2 months pregnant)
From monday Morning to Tuesday Morning she hadn't felt any movement with the baby in almost 24 hours, which was really unusual, she was always VERY active.
She called the clinic, and they told her to go to childrens for a stress test. They started out by looking for a heartbeat. They could not find it. So they brought in a Ultrasound machine. They had 2 nurses and 3 doctos in cluding 2 specialists look. The Heart was not beating, It was all black, and filled with fluid. No movement what so ever.
We found out at around 11:30 am on Tusday that our baby's heart was not moving.
She had 6 weeks left until Birth.
They could find no immediate cause as to why this happened, and they said they might not even know if an autospy was perfomed when the baby was born.
Sara was givin the option of staying, and having labor induced, Or leaving and coming back later. We obviously Stayed.
at around 2 PM they put 2 pill in the Cervix(SP?) and by 4 :30 she started having contractions. (most times it takes 10-16 hours for contractions to start.) By 5 Pm her water broke, and at 5:07 pm on 8-23 our little girl
Lacey Kay was born. Her official time of death, is the time of birth.
The Cause of Death, was Determined. The ambilical(SP?) Cord was Wrapped around her neck between 8-11 times. ( i counted 8 and turned away, i had seen enough, the nurse counted 10-11, but wasnt 100% sure.) The staff at childres were awesome. The Main nurse w had during the first 10 hours we were there, was a lady named Tami. She was great, and i dont know what we would have done without her.
We have spent the last 2 days in the hospital with our little girl, trying to make as many memories as possible. I am only home now, to clean up, and give my fiance some time before coming home.
To any who have gone through something similar, i know how you feel, and i would not wish this upon any one EVER.
To any of you who send any type of Condolances by word, or prayer, we thank you.
Sincerly
Joe McMahon
