    Considering High powered Viper

I'm thinking about buying a high powered Viper. This way Carl F, Eddie, sloss and Jake would have someone to chase!! Anyhow, before doing so I'm selling my cobra in the car section. If anyone's interested in a cobra that's never been raced let me know.

Like that Mark? AWESOME choice on upgrading though. What body style you thinking? GTS or SRT?

Not sure on styling yet. If the cobra sells for my asking price I'll do heavy research. Sloss has a buddy that does turn key 8 second Drag Radial Vipers, that's all I'm really interested in (going really f'in fast).

Mark, Talk to a guy named Brian Enochs over on Modernmuscleofmn.com

He has a Viper GTS with custom cams, HTM portes heads, ect ect that went 10.78s on radials at 134+mph I believe.....But the car is simply a nice engine tranny package wrapped in a POS shell (Kinda like and f-body hehehehe).

It reminds me of a poorly built kit car...Driving it is very uncomfortable for me, and I am only 5'11 .

The same guy has a 01 Z06 with an HTM 382 stroker engine making 480rwhp with CnC'd LS1 heads (no the LS6 heads). Something like that with a nice shot of juice on it, would be a much more sound, comfortable, and all around better vehicle.

Now granted I dont know how the latest generation of Vipers drive, but if all your looking for is an 8 Second car to play with on the street, why not just buy an 8 second street rod or build one....Would be a hell of alot cheaper than buying an 8 second turn key viper.

                  Hey Casey

I'm really interested in bolt on cars. Bolt on some parts, run good gas and turn the key. I've had like zero problems with car and I believe with the CI of the viper I can get it to really haul ass without doing engine transplants.

Street rods are great but IMO thay are basically just a never ending project, and it seems project cars are normally broke down. Nothing against street rods just seems like the major car makers do a much better job of designing cars and motors than the local hot rod shop.

I honestly believe these high performance motors offer by GM, Ford, and Dodge are better than the so called "built aftermarket motors". Run good gas and know its limits are the only major factors in keeping them together and having fun every weekend.

Not to mention GTS Vipers are some of the nicest looking / sounding cars on the road IMO.

That's about the last thing I want to own. I'm looking for a street car with bolt-ons, not a race car or truck. Race cars are like boats, trailer them out on Sunday, have some fun and then use them again next month. No thanks.

Ya, I saw a GTS when I was in arizona this last winter and those things look damn nice. Hug the ground like nothing I've ever seen, at least this one did. And the guy actually drove it too, so that made it nice to follow for a very short period of time (was in a jeep).

There is a street driven turbo viper on the brink of becoming the fastest IRS car in the world.
