they tell you everything that was reported to insurence. atleast I thought. and sometimes some people have a free car fax account.

Good luck. Why would it matter?? Six years and older vehicles can get their salvage status reversed

Once a car has depreciated to somewhere under 5 grand, usually if the car is fixed up and then the title is transferred to someone else, the DMV gives a clean title back.
