    F1 was on CBS

Not that many of you care, but there's a few here that may have (:jimmah: being one)

    BUT

Formula 1 was on CBS; see I'm excited about this because for some stupid reason, Comcast doesn't include Speed Channel with your digital classic package in the old "Quad Cities" system (Anoka, Andover, Ramsey, Champlin, etc.) so I FINALLY got to watch an F1 race for the first time in almost 2 years. Good one at that, Fernando Alonso Renault actually held of Schumi and his Ferrari.

Does anyone know if we'll get to see more F1 on CBS? I remember ABC used to show the US and Canadian GPs, so let's at least get the US GP this year (if I remember, Canada doesn't even get its GP this year...suckas!)

That was an awesome battle at the end. Schumacher's Ferrari must have had some serious aero issues when following another car because he was flying whenever he was by himself but he just couldn't make the pass when he was behind Button or Alonso.... He got lucky with traffic and snuck by Button or he probably would have been third. Ferrari has some work to do on that car.....

CBS will carry three more races (Spanish GP, European GP (Nurburgring, Germany), and Canadian GP).....

If you are able, save them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go. Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own. And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

coverage was weak, derek dally was alright announcing, but i would have listened to the regular speedtv crew. those commercials were horribly placed, i wanted to see the race battle, not advertisements

schummy did an excellent job going from 13th to 2nd, but alonso is a pretty damn good racer. if ferrari didn't have the issues they had during qualifying, it would have been a diferent race.

im liking the variety these new rule changes are bringing. makes the racing much more exciting

I missed it I was hoping that it was going to be slow so I could actually watch it. And AFAIK Matt87GTA is right. Spanish GP (May8th), European GP/Nurburgring (May 29th), and Canada/Montreal (June 12th). I find it really odd that the one race that'd attract the most viewership (American GP @ Indy on June 19th didn't make the broadcast on CBS. Ohh well, much better listening to Peter Windsor and David Hobbs over Derek Daly anyways

So Canada got its GP this year...I must have heard wrong.

WTF though, they're not showing The US GP! Maybe I'll just have to talk my cousin-in law to be into going there again!

Ahhhh... Yeah well that was nothing but lucky. Up until that point when he scooted past him, he couldn't do anything with Button. Did you even watch the race?????

Who said anything about how good of a driver M. Schumacher is or isn't? I know a thing or two about open track road racing.... I track my cars and not just in straight lines a 1/4 mile at a time....

schumacher was not able to do a damn thing after he came out of the pits. button had him the last few laps. schumacher is a great driver but he just couldnt finish it off on sunday. although 2nd place is still pretty damn good!!!
