I like the old Canal Park Inn right on the beach, walking distance to the bars.

fitzgers in is a nice "classy" place to stay. It's old school classy. It's not right on the water though, it's more up in the hills if i remember right. I stayed there a LONNGGGG time ago. Anyways:

Is that the 'Superior' lodge in this link?Originally posted by Zinc.Yup. I go out to Superior Shores 2 times a year (for the past 7yrs). I'd highly recommend it (esp. if you've got the $ for the private cabins on the lake)
With a wide variety of guest rooms, suites, and townhome units, We feature remarkably cozy North Shore lodge accommodations for every type of traveler!
Thanks.

That is what the guest rooms look like. Not sure what the superior rooms are like; I've always stayed in a lakeside guest room. From what I've seen of the suites, they're pretty nice too. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their rooms - just request a lake view.

We either get the villa w/ hotub, or the 3 bedroom manor. But any of the houses w/ a lake view are awesome.
Those are what we get. However, (funny this thread came up) we JUST booked our lakehome for late August, and all of them were full already!! We luckily got one since they kinda know us by now heh.Pure as the driven snow.

I guess the 'Guest Rooms' overlook the parking area, the 'Indoor/Outdoor' is overlooking the pool and the 'Superior' is over looking the lake. They don't have any Superior rooms left for the weekend I'm looking for. Think it's still worth it if we're not overlooking the lake?

Depends on if you will actually look at the lake while you're in your room.Originally posted by bullittI guess the 'Guest Rooms' overlook the parking area, the 'Indoor/Outdoor' is overlooking the pool and the 'Superior' is over looking the lake.
