I love midway. The V8 bike that was there on saturday made my weekend.

I'm there every Friday and Saturday night that I'm not out of town (which isn't often) so I'll keep an eye out if you ever come out. I think that the more people you get to know the more fun it is though. For the first few years I started heading down there I only went for a few hours, but now that I know more people out there, I find myself down there for anywhere from 3 to 10 hours (yes, I know, sad....)

Yeah, that bike is mint (yes I said mint). The guy that owns it lives in or around Eagan, sometimes on my way to Porky's I pass him on the freeway. I remember last year one night he looked both ways, putterd out into the street, looked over, smiled and just layed into it...left a good 150' long mark. What you saw Saturday night is nothing compared to what he does some nights.

Agreed with this. This was the first weekend in a long ass time where I was not slamming beers and picking up sluts. Summer just started though

I don't know, I have been going to University Avenue for quite some time, pretty frequently a while ago, but for the past 4 years I have been going less and less. Every time I go, it sucks more and more. I don't "cruise the strip" because 1) I get tired of always being slightly paraniod about police, like they are going to pull me over just because I am driving a Mustang down University Avenue on a Saturday night 2) I am just not used to driving in traffic anymore!

Last year, I went to Uni about 3 times and that is it. The 2nd time, a friend's car would not start, and we had to jump it in the Arby's lot. A police car came by and told us we had to leave, and "get moving now". He said if we were not gone in 2 minutes, we were all getting tickets. This was shortly after Arby's closed.
The last time I was there, it was the same old shit, nice cars driving by, but heated arguments at Porkey's and just too many people walking around with attitudes. I drove 2 hours down and 2 hours back up, but only hung around there for about 30 minutes before I just said "this sucks! I am going back home".

I don't know, I think I am done. I have better things to do on weekend evenings. Anybody else like me that is kind of fed up with the "Midway" scene? It just does not seem fun to me anymore. I have never liked going in to the city in the first place, but that place has changed a lot.

I have not been there this year yet, and I guess I was looking forward to going, but reading some of the topics on this board already brings back to mind all the reasons I was reluctant to go much last summer.

Then again, I have not really "hung out" with TCStangs either, maybe it is more of a fun time with you guys, I don't know.
