    State of the Club Address

I just wanted to say a few words on the progress of Twin Cities Mustangs.

The Site - The website is almost 100% done. Most of the content is up and available. I do want to make it more eye pleasing (media section) but for the most part the site is where I want it at. It's simple, straight forward, not cluttered, easy to ready, and swanky. I do need to come up with an automated process for adding members because doing it by hand sucks. I'm going to focus on that next. PHP here I come.

The Forum - The forum is exactly where I want it. There are a few VBB hack's that I would like to add but I'm not too worried about that right now. The participation level is amazing and our board traffic is through the roof. Lots of people are using the board as not only a 'fun' thing but also as a tool. Many people are connecting for selling parts, helping with installs, and things of that nature. I know there are TONS of PM's going around on this board. It's great to see people using the board to all its capacity.

The Events - So far things are fantastic. I hear that another local domestic club is 'sorta' jealous of us because we actually have events and they tend to be organized. For just being a little over a year old the "brotherhood" that is being felt in this club is amazing. I think that everyone is getting along really well and I know that I'm always thankfull that I'm meeting new people. If you are a member of this club and havnt came down to Uni, hit a BBQ, or plan on attending our car show, you are MISSING OUT! This is a great bunch and if the first month of the stang season is any gauge on the rest of the year, we are in for something special.

The People - Dan, Jim, Casey, Steve-O, Jon, Davis, Alan, Ducky, Groth, Ron, Mikey, Kyle, Patrick, Doug, Greg, Tim, Joe (both of em), Brad... the list goes on. You guys are the people that is giving this club it's identiy. I just wanted to personally say thanks for showing up and participating with everything.

    Everyone =

couldn't agree more brian. watching a car club rise is probably almost as good as watching a child grow( sorry for the shitty analogy ) this past year has been one of the best i've experienced, mostly due to the club. i have leanred SO much from everyone here, whether it be car knowledge or civility knowledge. it's great being a young member here. i feel i have gained a vast amount of maturity (although it may not show ) from everyone. so thanks to everyone for ignoring the fact that i'm only 18, and actually teaching me how to be a better person.

a huge thanks goes out to brian for taking on a vast load, building a website, setting up the forum...etc. with our first meet right around the corner, i only see good things for the future of tcstangs.

The vast majority of my friends aren't car guys, so i really enjoy the chance to hang with some people that are. Especially Mustang guys.
