sn95, "new edge"

i refer to all 1994-2004 mustangs as sn95. new edge just sounds stupid to say, was the name actually created by ford? sounds like a ricer term.
and if i need to get specific, i'd rather call them 99+

Yes, SN95 is the 94-98's, "New Edge" was a name greated by ford for the 99-04's, and is also used on the rangers with the sharper body lines.
