    I don't understand my timeslip???

Well, I probably ended up being one of the last mustangs from the club on Saturday. I made 9 runs down the track and finished third in the money races!! The two winners were camaros, grand prize $250, and second place was $100. I received $50!! Not bad, basically paid for my entry fee and gas to/from the event! This is a pic of my last time slip, I don't understand why I lost the race. Can someone help me out!! My time is on the right:

The reason you lost is because he had a faster reaction time. Kyle (blackstang) lost in a smiliar race for that reason. Even if your dial in time is better it comes down to the reaction time.

That is IF you won. Like Tim said, did he beat you to the finish line?

Sorry, I couldn't get the picture any bigger. Yes he did beat me to the line and yes his reaction time was better, but his car was sure spewing out blue smoke after that race!!

Yep, he won it on a holesot. He could have run a 11.719 and still won based on his better reaction time. Basically you gave him a .169 sec margin of error to play with.

Alot of times faster cars will "sand-bag it". That is, they dial a slower e.t. than they can actually run, then run you down towards the end of the track and let off the gas just enough to stay ahead of you and cross the finish line before you. The problem that can occur there is they have to be carefull not to breakout.

I thought bracket racing was pretty fun actually. I'd love to do it some more. I didn't mind loosing, i had a blast.

Yes, you will find that he was closer to his dial in. It works like this:

                        His total time: 11.610 + .079= 11.689

                        His total-dial is: 11.689 - 11.550= .139

                        Your total time is: 15.551 + .248= 15.799

                        Your total-dial is: 15.799 - 15.500= .299

He beat you by .160 seconds.

                        Racing is fun, isn't it?

if we go back to rock falls again, im going to do the money racing, i'd rather have cash than a trophy

brian, post a pic of the trophy

In heads up the tree comes down at the same time for both lanes and whoever gets to the finish line first wins.
