Why havent people ran insane boost in those like they do in trucks?
some people do try and speed up their TDIs. there are a lot of new TDI cars showing up in endurance races because they breakdown less frequently and use less fuel than their gasser equivalents. but i think the main reason you never see any regular joe schmoes trying to hit 10s with TDIs (besides everyone being deathly afraid of their timing belt breaking) is because if you buy a TDI you want a car thats reliable and gets good gas mileage. if you do anything to get more power out of it, youre sacrificing the two reasons you went with that engine.
if people want fast VWs theyre hitting up the 1.8t. people are making some good power on stock 1.8ts.
Wow that dash looks exactly like mine. Except that my tach needle is usually pointed directly to the right. I have yet to drive a TDI, but I know I would not trade the VR6 for one.
