One of my friends wishes he would have waited another month or two. The newer 4500's weren't available yet when he bought his truck."A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station... you figure it out ..."

Why would anyone want a durajunk. Oh I get it. People that want a diesel to seem rugged or to brag to friends so they look rich.
I consistantly haul 25,800 with my old cummins turbo deisel pickups. I would love to see some of these sissy V8 diesel trucks hook on to that much weight and outpull one of my old peices of shit.
If V8 diesels were so fucking great why would all of the over the road trucks be running them?? Because 98% of commercial semis use an inline 6.

Have you driven a truck with a duramax? My boss has one and it pulls his 19,000 lbs siding/gutter trailer like nothing, during the summer I would say that truck is pulling the trailer more often than its not. He hasnt had one problem with it. He also sells scissor lifts and has had 22000+ on that without problems.Originally posted by nazisaleenWhy would anyone want a durajunk. Oh I get it. My uncle had one of those, think it was a freightliner. They used it to pull their 5th wheel camper to AZ each year (and he SAID he was going to do some contract hauling over the summer with it, but only did once). Not a bad looking truck I guess, but I'd rather be running around in a F550 or something instead of those....actually get more use out of a real pickup I would think.

Your boss is lucky, I pass duramaxes and powerstrokes all the time in the black hills hauling campers with my old peice of shit trucks. Mind you I don't pass them going very much fasterOriginally posted by black zHave you driven a truck with a duramax? but I am hauling alot more weight.
It isn't a chevy, dodge, ford thing. It is simply who would want a V8 deisel when THE ENTIRE over the road industry has moved to inline 6's years ago??

The Duramax isn't a bad diesel. I've yet to hear or run into a problem with one at the shop. Everybody on this board has to admit that they're a shitload better then the previous Chev. (6.2liter I think) Diesels.Dear Government, eventually the people with money will tell you to fuck off, and stop paying for those that don't work
