    Pick up truck suggestions?

My internet is not working, So now I have to use this piece of shit nexus with speed equilivent to dial up. And trying to look and compare trucks just ain't happening.

Anyways, I am going to actively shop for a full size pickup. An opportunity came along that if I don't act now i will regret it for the rest of my life. And now i need a truck. And I'm going to be getting rid of my cars. So my Mercedes will be for sale very shortly. And since I don't have time to fuck around, if I can get a bit more than a dealership will give me from someone, I'm fine with that. I'd say between 11k-15k. 2004 E55 black on black 34,000 miles. Maybe 33,500.

I can't look at trucks with my phone that crawls along at turtle speed...so I am going to see what you guys say as I have been out of the truck game for some time.

    Here's what I want.

    Full size.
Easy to use voice activated GPS. My friend has a 2011 F350 dually and that sync system is pretty slick. I want something like that. Doesy Chevy make something comparable?
I'd like decent mileage if possible.
    No dodge
No Toyota. I liked my old tundra but I am leaning more towards the F150 or silverado. But I don't want to buy a pile of fuck and gm has not been getting high marks since they became government motors. But shit changes. Has it for GM?
I won't be hauling that much but I may have to from time to time. It will be used like a car most of the time.

If you guys were to buy a new F150 would you get the v8 or the ttv6? I don't want a regular v6.

    Any other ideas?

Look at the new Dodges. I bought a new Grand Cherokee because the interior I fell in love with.
Seriously Dodge really stepped up their game.

I'd get the Ford with the 5.0 v8. I'd also check with the dealer on a buy price for that car, or trade in prices.

I have a 2014 Ram crew cab and love it! I average 19-20 mpg with the 5.7 Hemi and I drive all over the metro for work. It rides down the road better than most cars I have been in and pulls an enclosed car trailer awesome with the factory brake controller.

GM has the quiet cab which is awesome but their prices are through the roof right now. I drove a 2015 F150 and its like being in a bouncy tin can.

I would say if you want an honest feel, just go drive each of them. Thats what I did and made my choice for feel and value.

If it was my money I'd go for the silverado crew cab made in mexico.

This. Get in a truck or 3. Roll up in that Mercedes, and you'll be able to jew them down a bit
Dear Government, eventually the people with money will tell you to fuck off, and stop paying for those that don't work

The TT 3.5 EB has a lot more grunt than the 5.0, but I would also probably pick the 5.0. I think the new Chevys are good looking too - and I know people like the Chevy V8s. Even the Chevy displacement on demand systems have gotten a lot better from what I've heard. I agree with the others, drive some pickups and decide. Unless you need to tow a lot of weight any of them will do fine. And if you're buying new and not planning to keep it for a super long time you have less to worry about as well.

If I were looking for a pickup I'd get something at least 2-3 years old, though. My '99 F-250 has 240,000 miles on it and it works just fine. It was a heck of a lot cheaper than a brand new pickup as well.

the EB gets better gas millage than the 5.0 until you start towing then the 5.0 does better. Love the tq on the EB I would recommend it. I have put 140k on a EB with zero issues.

I recently bought a 2015 F150 with the 5.0 and love it. Looked at a 2015 Dodge the same day and I liked it, but imagined how well the Ford will look in 10 years with the aluminum body vs the Dodge. The truck tows our 7,000 pound boat/trailer combo with ease. The technology is far better than the Dodge and Chevy in my opinion.

I wouldn't get a Dodge. If you want to trade for a chevy or Ford you will get screwed, they do not hold their value like Ford and Chevy. If you aren't going to be towing much I would get a 5.3 chev or any of the 5.0 or ecoboost engines in the Fords. I love my 15 with the 3.5 Eco. I get about 19 driving around in the summer when not towing. The seating position is different between the chevys and fords, you sit up a little higher it feels like in the Ford. If I didn't want an excellent 1/2 ton tow rig I probably would have bought a chevy instead. Had a 2011 Chevy before.

Ford, if only for the SYNC. MyLink and Uconnect suck, i have owned all 3 in as many years. If you arent towing every day get a F150 with the little ecoboost. Great commuter pickup.

I agree with your comment on Sync over Uconnect, that is my one gripe with my Jeep is Uconnect, the Sync in my wife's Ford Fusion is so much better.
