Yeah it fucking sucked ass. Had I known it was going to be that much I would have hired Mexicans. I scooped up so much with these leaf scoops that I developed tennis elbow. It doesn't sound that bad but when I met someone and had to shake their hand, just that motion would make my arm feel like someone hit it with a hammer. It lingered for so long (6+ months) that I was starting to think that it might be permanent. A compression sleeve only helped a little. Cherry juice knocked that shit out in a matter of weeks. Been gone ever since.

If you have arthritis or any other nagging injuries, try this stuff. It's natures advil. Tastes just like Cherry pie.

I used that stuff alot per your recommendation when I dislocated my shoulder and it helped alot.

I had a nasty case of golfers elbow this whole winter and did everything including pt. Cortisone shot nipped it. That cherry juice is good stuff though and it does taste good, tart!

Stihl gas blower. No need for a backpack style. I believe I have a BG86, works great and is extremely reliable.

I actually bought the first one I ever used for work. Ran it every week day for 5 years before the kill wire broke, that was the only issue. Fixed it and its still running, and I have 2 more for the shop and the same thing at my house.

My pair. They're okay. You can get a 55 for pretty cheap.

Lol, that'd be neat. I'd have way more than I do if that was the case

Why you ask? I'll tell you why, but first I'll ask why have 2 of anything similar? Why have 2 mowers for example?
Anyway, I bought the 55 first. Ran it for a couple seasons ('seasons' being spring/summer/fall) and finally it wouldn't start/run for shit. Turns out the spark arrestor was all clogged up (common). I took that out & cleaned the hell out of it and it ran great again. I use it a lot for quick little cleanups out front, such as cleaning up after dirtball fuckpiles of shit who leave their cigs all over the sidewalk or near the driveway, so it's run more than just for fall leaves.
Meanwhile, as you've noticed I look at a tool or two from time to time online. The 55 is marketed as an entry-level home-owner type tool. The 86 is marketed more for a commercial-use handheld with a little more power and some other differences which then should obviously also do the the weekend warrior jobs with no issue as well. So.. I went and bought an 86C and intended on selling the perfectly fine 55 to either a family member who might benefit from it or maybe to one of yous TCS blokes. I ran the 86C for a week and honestly wasn't 'wowed' power-wise. It didn't seem anymore powerful than my 55 , and it actually had a little quirk that bugged me.. so I went back to the dealer and figured I'd have them mess with adjustments since it's a week old and under warranty. They couldn't do much for me though! They wound up swapping it out with another new one of the same model (pictured). The 2nd one.. does the same fucking thing . So, I threw out about 2-fiddy+ on something I'm not super impressed with vs what I already had in the original one. So in my personal opinion if you want a decent blower at a good price, the 55 (think it's now a 56) entry-level would be a better bang for the buck. One thing that IS really nice about the 86 series is the vibration suppression frame design. You can set 'em both down on the ground side by side running and the 55 will walk away from you, lol. The 86 sits right there where you set it and only bounces in it's frame (if that makes any sense), so if you're using a handheld blower for extended periods of time the 86 will be much more forgiving on your wrist/arm.

This all being said, I haven't listed my 55 for sale yet because I still use it a couple times a week. The 86C has been assigned vehicle drying duty with it's oval tube when I get lazy and don't wanna hand dry it. So that would be why I currently have 2 leaf blowers.

Lol, I did with the old NiCad stuff of course. I wanted 1 charger in each tool bag, plus one in the garage and maybe 1 spare. But think about it.. this was NiCad technology. Depending on what the job you'd be doing and the tool(s) used, you could easily go thru a series of batteries from fully charged to unusable in a day. I liked having my bases covered and never having to wait while a battery is being charged, I'm impatient like that
Now I'm more into the 20v line with a few 18v tools left that I'm wondering if it's even worth buying the 20v counterpart for because I don't use them enough in the first place to justify buying the same thing new just to have a matching platform.
