These dealers should know by now to have a new policy that no one except the new owner drives these cars. They can run it through the gears on the lift and that is all.Comment

There's hardly ever any need on cars like that to be test driven by the mechanic. All cars have issues and require maintenance and things do go bad but rarely does it need to be driving to find faults on a car such as that one. They just want an excuse to drive something they can never afford. Besides that it was new, and all of the necessary quality control checks are done before it left the factory. I bought a new car recently and the dealer said "by law" they have to have 6 miles on the car before customer pickup. Including all the srt8 models.
