Club Race Idea.

This is only an idea, and I'm not sure how many willing members we have nor do I have any idea what series would be pertinent, but, what about building a Club Sponsored car that we can enter in some sort of racing series.

Something where we can all take the oppurtunity/obligation to drive, wrench, etc. etc.

It wouldn't have to be anything special, but maybe a fun idea for getting some club notority and to have some fun.

My personal thoughts is maybe building a GRM 2004 car. All of us here are into different types of Mustangs and have different parts laying around. I'm thinking some people work on getting a roller together, we get a sponsor to install an 8-point, get an engine, some suspension randomness and GO TO TOWN!!!

i like that idea, me and a buddy were going to do that, but that idea sorta fell through....i like it though

That's the beauty of maybe doing a GRM 2004 car. Total cost of hte car has to be below $2004.

Wouldn't even require people to spend a lot of money, but if they have the "hooks up" for body work or some decals, etc. etc. they can contribute.

grm 2004

basic ideals and ground rules...


there is a magazine called grassroot motorsports and every year they hold a competiotion....

the goal is to build a car for 1/4 mile drag , autocross, and "concours" judging (aka car show)... but the kicker is you can only sepnd 2,004 dollars....and you have to document everything .... you can be protested and thrown out of the competiin..... any more questions?
