Torino was the model and Talledega was an option.

I came very very very close to buying a Torino for my first car. It was white with black hood, 1972 Ford Torino with an automatic 429, and it was in good shape. I decided not to buy it because I wanted a stick and a v8 that was a little better on gas than that. So I bought the 83 Z28 further down the road. (after finding out how much insurance would be on the camaro, I quickly sold it and bought an 84GT instead).

Selling that Camaro for a Mustang was an early wise decision by a young Stormwalker

That Torino would've been collectible today, but yeah, you'd have paid double the price of the car for gas by now.

How is anything that costs over $29,000 and econobox? or anything made my Mercedes Benz? So a C-class is an econobox? SLK? BMW 3-series? Yes, they're small, but they're hardly econo.

On a side note, i think you can get a RWD conversion kit forthe Focus from Ford...

Economy if I remember right was the buzzword in the 70's for anything with good gas mileage...

I guess my perception on was skewed by the accurate meaning of the phrase..

(economy = anything that got better than 20mpg)
