    2015 Property values

So I just got my 2015 valuation notice with my property taxes. It seems they think the value of my home/property is going to increase 21% on the market value (EMV) and 27% on (TMV) taxable market value for 2015..

Needless to say I will be contacting the assessor and starting the dispute process. Just curious if others on here saw insane increases like this on their valuation notice.

Haven't received mine just yet, but I'll be keeping a close eye on it! Thinking they will rise 27% or even 21% is pretty absurd in just a year lol

Are you sure there wasn't any improvements, sewer, water, curbs etc?

Are you being cereal??? My dad lives in woodbury and said his went up a decent amount, but not 20+% like mine. He also said there was a news story about someone buying a house in Woodbury and getting his tax statement saying his house was worth 50k more than what he just paid for the house.

I actually got mine about a week ago, but didn't really have time to look at it in detail until today.

Interesting - Hopefully a neighbor will bring it over if they got it..Is there anywhere to report if we didn't get one and obtain another copy?

yes serious. i don't think it's too big of a deal, not ideal however. we'll see how bad it affects taxes. it's been going down the past 3 years, now it's about where it was 4 years ago. oh well.

Yes, In the grand scheme of things my home value is now back where it was valued 5 or so years ago. It is pretty sad that I bought this shit hole in 2002 and it's not really worth more than I paid for it then. Oh well, make payments here or pay rent somewhere else .

I'm still going to call and discuss the 20+% increase with the assessor. they sure as hell never devalued 20+% in any one year after 2006
