He did a good job in many ways. He was able to hold the team together through some real crappy times, and I like coaches that stay even keeled and are not spaz freaks. However, his decision making in choosing players/playing time, clock management and other critical game decisions left a lot to be desired. I'm hoping whoever the new coach is, they have been a head coach before and aren't learning on the job.

There is even keeled and without a clue. Frazier fell into the latter bucket.

To be a head coach at any college and on up level (even at the High school level in many instances), unless the players respect you, you will never be anything but mediocre.
They may not agree with you, they may hate your guts, but if they respect you they will perform.

Coaching is a LOT like parenting, you are NOT there to be their friend; you are there to show them "the way", and boot them in the a$$ from time to time when they get out of line to get them on the path again.
