Woot, good times at the lot!!! (5/03)

had a great turn out tonight, far more than i expected. got there a little early though(7 pm), i could have gone later. but it was good meeting roushy(allen) and sturte30(john). tried to caravan down to porky's when dan got there, but it was pretty hecktic down there.

cops were everywhere by the lot. lots of people were pulled over (dan!! ) "i was not going 42 in a 30" couple people that were pulled over were searched and what not. wish i had my camera when dan was pulled over, that would make a good "owned" pic

cam was dressed like a fucking backstreet boy had alot of non mustangs come through the lot, glad we're getting alot of attention. brian said we were the talk of the fire department(right across the street) after last saturday.

I swear that i was like half blind when i got there, couldent find jims car for the life of me

Yeah i had a good time. Met some cool people dident get a chance to meet everyone....maybe next time

That is a pretty tight spot away from the chaos and a fairly safe spot from the cops.

anybody notice that we parked right out side of a Gastrolagy clinic

      Searched?

People had their cars searched? What the hell for? Also, whoever had their car searched should have NOT given the police permission to. It's a free country and there are laws against unreasonable searches and seizures HOWEVER those are waived when PERMISSION is given to the police.

Exactly. I'm sure there was no visual cause for the searches cuz no one ever got hauled away! So... more than likely, they just "asked" if it woud be alright if they searched the vehicle. Most people, I'm finding out, don't know that they can simply say "no" to an asked search. It's bs anyways and, I feel, a violation of privacy!

I had this happen to me on my last speeding ticket 2-1/2 years ago about. Was a sherriff, and a partner riding along. I did a head to head w/'em blastin' down this 2-lane road between Ham Lake & Forest Lake headin' home from work one Friday night. Seen 'em, knew I was screwed, but made 'em flip around and speed to get me (I just kept goin', heh heh). He caught up finally, I pulled onto a side (dirt) road and pulled over. He's (younger guy) pissed off cuz I made 'em come get me (knew that was gonna be the case). Says he got me doin' x-ammt. in a x-ammt. yadda yadda, askes me if I've been drinking, the usual. I got the lisc. & the insurance for 'em... then asked if I could see the radar in the alleged speed I was doing (they just give you the strangest look when you ask 'em that). So he backs up & tells me to exit the car so I can go back to the squad to see the radar. I get out, and that's when I notice the 2nd cop that was on my pass side (was dark, so I didn't even see her), I look at her and kinda laugh and shake my head cuz I must seem like such a thug go back and he stays behind me and tells me it's on the dash... I confirm it and he says "okay, get back into your car now".. (dur). He gives me the ticket, THEN asks me if there's any illegal substances in the vehicle! I become irritated at this point, and sharply tell 'em "NO". Then he asks if he can search the vehicle. Now I'm fuggin' pissed... I go "What?!" He askes again... I begin to get pissy now and go "NO! No you CANNOT! This is BS! This is PURE harrassment!" He stays calm and tells me it's not harrassment... I argue and say it IS and say "You can SEE that I've NOT been drinking... you can clearly see that I'm not 'high' in any way whatsoever... this is ridicilous, NO! you can't search it!" Then he told me be on my way then. I didn't have shit to hide, but that's not the point! I swear it was asked cuz of my neighborhood orgin.

Greg, go to www.tcstangs.com and clik 'sat night cruises' and theres full info on the lot.

I had a good time with everybody, it was cool to know we might be establishing our own location now. We even had a handfull of people buzzing through our lot to check out the cars.

And yeah, we have full approval by the fire station thats across the street. They think its way cool that we are parking there now.

and I was waiting for your reply... and there it is.

I wasn't tryin' to show anyone anything.
He could care less... and so could I. I was just expressing my feelings towards the attitude of the pullover... but whatever. Tickets come and tickets go... won't be the last regaurdless of if I'm the nicest dude around or the biggest prick around. I didn't start off w/an attitude on that (or any) pullover btw. It just wound up irritating me. But whatever...

On the flip side of the coin, I ran across the nicest cop ever on New Years Eve... a Wisc. trooper no less! I was shocked! Nicest guy I've ever been pulled over by. So I don't dislike all cops or anything... not at all.

The lot across from Mobil has been used for a few years by the serious people. This is not a new discovery. When the cops shut down Uni, the people who want a little competition head there. This is not a Mustang ONLY lot. No specific car group is going to claim this as "their" lot. The people "buzzing through the lot" have been coming there for years.

Yeah was fun last night...i got there early too and met up with Jim and J-O-N , lol.
Went for a cruise to porky's .... saw lots of cops and headed back to the lot and my co-worker with his green civic showed up (2.2 prelude motor) in case anybody was wondering who it was.
Good to get together with ya all again.

That's cool. It's a big lot, plenty of room for everyone. I've heard that the 'serious people' use that lot but by the time you guys show up most of the stangers have left.

I never said it was a new discovery. Were not patting ourselves on the back. Again, theres plenty of room for everyone. Just get used to us.

If I worded it to sound like we were claiming the lot, I apologize and i'll change the phrasing.
