          COULD be headed to the crusher, COULD.... if the owner doesn't provide proof of insurance.

          Even if the owner doesn't provide proof of insurance, I bet it doesn't get crushed. Crushing something of such value would be stupid. The car could be sold and the money used in the police department for all kinds of things.
