    UTV's/ Side-by-sides

My dad's been wanting a Rhino/Razr/Ranger/UTV for quite a while now and I'm considering buying him one while home over the 4th.

Anyone have one and how do you like it?

I personally like the look of the Razrs and Rhinos.

I have driven a RZR 800 and a RZR 800 LE. Both were a blast to bomb around in. The LE has better suspension and was much smoother on the trails. The 1 problem with the LE is that I’m fairly certain that legally the trails(if you are on state trails) need to be class 2, whereas the standard one can be on class 1. I think that’s how it is.

Last winter I was able to drive the LE around on the St. Croix river in Bayport. That was fun as well.

Not sure if that helps, but that’s what I had for experience with the RZR’s.

Don't have one but have ridden in a rzr. I'm a huge fan of the new XPs and Wildcat. In fact, so much I've stopped building up my XJ and plan to get the new XP when it comes out. I can hardly go on any trails with the Jeep. The XP can go on most trails in WI and as a class 2, probably 1/2 of the MN trails. I can also fit in a toy hauler.

I rented the Rzr XP in Moab for a day and also rode the wildcat around, both are rediculous fun. My friend has a Rzr S which is a step up from the standard Rzr and even that is awesome. I'd love to have any one of them in my garage you can't really go wrong. The rhino was slow and shitty, teryx was faster but still doesn't compare suspension wise. My Dad loved the Rzr XP, he's 63 and rode 8 hours straight with me over the best Moab had to offer and walked away pain free and with a smile.

The RZR is better if all you want to do is trail ride. If you want to use it for work and trail go with a Rhino. I have driven and rode in both and had a blast, a Rhino will be my next big purchase. I want to do more than trail ride with it so that made my choice but if it was just a toy it would be a RZR or wild cat hands down.

I have a RZR 170 for my kids and they love it and it takes a beating!!!

thanks guys. I've been seeing the 2013 rzrs going for about 13k new which is quite a bit. Looking to buy a year or two old used for a little under 10. He will just be cruising around with it at my cabin and what not. I mainly want to get it over the 4th so I have a brainerd cruiser.

I've got a Rhino 700. It is NOTHING like a RZR! Two totally different animals. Got it for using strictly at the cabin so no need for a super fast machine. Need more of a utility. Its slow, maybe 40-45mph but has plenty of power. If he is just looking to cruise around and use it for "work" do something like a Rhino. If he is strictly looking to rip around then an RZR.

I see Can Am/BRP has a pretty sweet side by side now. I am sure they are in the $18K+ range though.

My dad has a couple RZRs. Go with a 900 if you can. The 800s are a blast, but once you get in a 900, you can never go back. They blow the 800s out of the water.

I work for Polaris as a designer. I will tell you if I had money to burn I would have a RZR XP 900. If you want to buy a RZR or any Wheeler and you don't mind a slightly used one PM and I'll see what I can find.

I have a big bore turbo charged 2011 Rzr-S. It is the funnest thing I have ever owned. 80 MPH on flat ground. It eats up bumps that you wouldn't believe. I have twice the fun in the Rzr as the rock buggy.

$17500 for the Big Dog. But with 101HP 1000 Twin, It is the UGR LAMBO of Side By Sides. I am thinking about selling my Can Am Renegade and getting one.
