Wis. DNR warns people to watch out for bears
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin wildlife officials are warning people to keep an eye out for hungry bears emerging from hibernation.
Department of Natural Resources experts say natural food sources are limited this time of year, forcing bears to turn to bird feeders, garbage cans and grills. They say bears will quickly learn to associate humans with food and become frequent visitors.
The DNR warns it's illegal to intentionally feed bears in Wisconsin. The agency recommends removing bird feeders, reducing garbage odors by rinsing food cans before throwing them out, keeping meat scraps in the freezer until garbage day, keeping garbage cans in a closed building until the morning of pick-up and keeping grills and picnic tables clean.

I have nice plump birds singing away even now. I saw a big rooster pheasant cut right across my yard the other day, the local cat also saw. Those things taste great. Owls are a pathetic excuse of a bird.Comment
