My pants are not in a bundle. I know the V6 is a slow start. It just gets old hearing it time and time again from all the V8 guys. In no way did I start talking "shit." No one argues with your 13's comment as I am well aware you have more knowledge on the subject than I do. I also dont care what Cam does or says. All I was getting at calling all V6 cars "rice" is a bit lame is all. We are all part of the same thing here. Different cars for different folks. For those who want the looks and dont care about the speed, the V6 is great for them. Like you said, those who drag the cars are not going to want a V6. Its all a matter of application. What Cam is doing is a waste IMO. Sure the "underdog" thing appeals to most, but its just not practical. But for me, just owning a cruising car, the V6 was perfect. Now that I am a bit older, and wiser I am going to get my V8. Then I can be on your side of the fence and make fun of all the V6ers.

anyways nowhere did i say ALL v6ers are rice, I should have said v6ers that think they have race cars are rice, I wouldnt sell your car, its too sweet, go buy turboX2's v8 that he has 4 sale and build it up over the next year or more, I mean hell all the 4,6 2v guys that get into it hard core end up pulling the whole motor anyways, youd have half the battle done, start with a stout crank and rods some forged pistons, high end hardware, some decent heads and a bullit intake, the rest would be what a few brackets some headers and motor mounts, not forgetting the computer, give it a thought, it probley be cheaper in the long run with insurence costs factord in and you wouldnt take a hit on all the mods youv done to your current ride.

And i catch tons of flack on here and 90% of the time lately i do it with a smile im not here to rip on anybodys car for real or to actually do my best to make them feel bad about there car....People have to make good with what they can get, and i am happy thats not to say i couldent be "happier" but you get my point.

I have a sick sense of power... but I do know sometimes ya have to work with what you have. Plus I will add the newer V6's are a heck of an improvement over the old version and are nearing the stock 5.0 territory.

Also in terms of notes, cam is right a lot of smaller displacement cars will beat a stock fox 5.0... a turbo dsm will blow the doors off a stock 5.0. This has been proven a number of times and I have seen it with my own eyes. That is stock on stock. I can see the "turbo" comment coming now, but considering how many guys here are running superchargers... well I'll just rest my case here and save some typing. All in all I think everyone needs to be more open minded.

I have no problem modding a V6... or a four banger. I have a problem with cheesy mods that are all hype and give you no bang for the buck... (K&n filters on a stock induction system and a cai that just lets in hot air from the engine bay) and mustang owners are as guilty as anyone else of doing this... so rip on the V6 for being weaker and harder to mod, but don't kidney punch em with the "rice" statement like they have type r stickers on it and windshield squirter LED's.
