I'd say it's high, but at the same time the market it soft so who knows.

I thought so too but, then again, I have no idea what these old cars are worth. Figured it should only be worth what a 68 coupe is worth in that condition.

Fastbacks are always priced higher then coupes.

Whether its worth it, only you can answer that question.

For some reason I was under the assumption that the fastback kit was to convert a coupe to fast back. I don't know anything about these old cars but have always wanted one. Im weetodded. Given the new circumstances, I'd say it's worth it with how solid it is.

More than I'd pay for it, but I don't think the price is really out of line or anything. Fastbacks are worth too much.

I think it's hard to tell from photos. Somebody shot base on it but no clear. Why? Something might be fishy. I wouldn't worry so much about the mechanicals but if the body work is messed up that could be harder to fix.

Looking at the photo, you can see the hood is bowing an inch or two up above the fenders. Either it's a cheap hood, they didn't spend the time to fit it right or they didn't replace the hinge springs with softer ones.

When I can see a problem from a single photo from 20 feet away you know there are going to be a lot more problems.
              The floors look solid, though.

The 67 and 68 fastbacks are some of the most desirable early Mustangs, which is good and bad. You'll pay more now but you'll also get more when you go to sell. I would say some might pay $15 for it and some wouldn't. I would want to pay less - more like $7500-10,000, but I haven't looked at them enough recently to know what they are worth. I think you have to spend some time shopping for similar cars and see what they are selling for.

                  This.

When I first saw this car for sale, I wondered why someone would go through all the effort to get the car this far and just quit. Why not shoot clear on it and sell it finished for way more?

Its been for sale for awhile. If it were me and I were interested in it, I would take a look at it invperson expecting to see some wavy bodywork and unevenly matched panels being hidden by non-shiny black. Who knows, maybe its nice. Or maybe they saw something in the bodywork when they sprayed the color on that they didnt like.

Worth it? That's a matter of opinion. These cars fetch a ridiculous amount for a rusty project if you can find one. That's why I don't have one yet

Its a coupe coverted to a fastback pretty common. Its not worth what a fastback is worth but more then a coupe if the conversion was done right. If this was a real fastback it would be worth that price but its not. The hood looks like its out of adjustment might be bad rear hinge or shitty fiberglass , either way when doing the conversion you dont touch anything forward of the cowl so i wouldnt think the front of the car was messed up by doing the conversion. The fiberglass is worth around 2k so its really a 13000 car with 2k fiberglass and still overpriced for a conversion.

Too high for a Fastback conversion project car. The conversion cars will never have the value of the original fastback.
                      Don't ask, it's a midlife crises thing.

Driver door looks out of adjustment. That's a big enough red flag for me to say give a body guy $100 and have him come out with you and give you a good looking over.

Project = ghosts in the closets = potential big retro fixes.
